The facility will have a total scale of 63,200 2.5kw standard racks and includes three data center buildings, one comprehensive office building, a 110kv substation, and other supporting infrastructure.

Dong Yan, representing ZDATA, extended a warm welcome and sincere gratitude to the leaders attending the groundbreaking ceremony. He stated that the successful implementation of ZDATA’s South China Headquarters and South China Computing Power Center project is attributed to the municipal government’s strategic foresight in planning and continuous empowerment of the industry. From optimizing the business environment to fostering industrial synergy, the government has demonstrated resolute determination and actionable commitment to advancing high-quality digital economic development. Starting from this groundbreaking ceremony, ZDATA will spare no effort to accelerate project construction, ensuring early completion, operation, and results. ZDATA firmly believes that through government-enterprise collaboration and multi-party synergy, this green and intelligent computing power center will become a shining gem for Shaoguan and South China’s digital economy, contributing a splendid Shaoguan chapter to Chinese-style modernization.

During his inspection of the Zhenjiang cluster area of the Shaoguan Data Center Hub, Chen Shaorong emphasized that securing land for the cluster and advancing project progress must be prioritized as top tasks. He called for scientific planning, holistic layouts, enhanced land-use efficiency, optimized project arrangements, and elevated planning and construction standards to ensure high-level planning, high-standard design, and high-quality implementation. He urged authorities to promptly identify challenges in project advancement, conduct thorough analysis of land requirements for enterprise projects, optimize land resource allocation, maximize utilization, formulate practical land-use solutions, and create greater development space for enterprises and the cluster. He stressed the need to fully deliver service guarantees, strengthen daily communication and coordination with enterprises, closely monitor project progress, and urge contractors to intensify construction efforts to seize the pre-rainy-season construction window, ensuring timely completion and operation without compromising quality.

In his speech, Chen Zhiquing demanded that all departments and industrial parks enhance their sense of responsibility and urgency in driving projects and expanding investments. He reiterated the principle of “projects first,” urging full focus on project execution, proactive resolution of land, funding, and labor challenges, and removal of all obstacles to ensure unimpeded project implementation and rapid operationalization. He emphasized the need to concentrate efforts on project planning and investment attraction to draw more industry leaders to establish high-quality projects in Shaoguan.

Shaoguan is seizing the opportunity of its role as a national hub node under the “Eastern Data Western Computing” initiative to open a new chapter in high-quality digital economic development. Upon completion, the project will become a future-oriented, green, and low-carbon infrastructure base for next-generation computing power, networks, and data centers. It will accelerate Shaoguan’s efforts to build a trillion-yuan electronic information and big data industrial cluster, establishing itself as a nationally integrated computing network hub with technological leadership and distinctive features, and setting a new benchmark for green and low-carbon data center clusters.
