Green Cloud 2026 | ZDATA Takes Multi-dimensional Measures to Deepen the Green and Low-carbon Transition of Computing Infrastructure

Recently, Greenpeace, an international environmental organization, and Tsinghua Sichuan Energy Internet Research Institute jointly released Green Cloud 2026: Ranking of Chinese Internet Cloud Service Enterprises on Renewable Energy Performance. Taking cloud services and data center operation as basic screening criteria, the report comprehensively evaluates core indicators including market value, market share and cabinet scale. It selects 25 representative enterprises from China’s computing power industry and carries out a panoramic ranking research covering renewable energy consumption, carbon neutrality implementation pathways, environmental information disclosure and other dimensions. ZDATA is shortlisted in this authoritative ranking thanks to its practical implementation in building green power systems, source-grid-load-storage coordination and full-link energy efficiency optimization.

The report points out that the industry’s green power consumption has entered a new stage of “simultaneous growth in total volume and proportion”, and leading enterprises are shifting from “supplementary procurement” to “structural substitution”. Following this trend, ZDATA keeps building a diversified clean energy supply system and expands the scale of green power consumption through multiple channels including green power trading, green certificate procurement and distributed photovoltaic construction. Centered on the Datong Green Big Data Industrial Base and Ulanqab Intelligent Computing Park, ZDATA has deployed rooftop photovoltaic and solar-storage-charging integrated systems to realize on-site generation and consumption of new energy. Meanwhile, leveraging the new energy endowments in Northwest and North China, ZDATA steadily raises the proportion of green power in the overall power consumption mix and accelerates the transition of energy supply from traditional fossil fuels to new energy.

The report emphasizes that against the backdrop of surging demand for AI computing power, energy efficiency improvement and green power expansion must advance hand in hand. ZDATA adheres to the dual approach of “energy conservation & carbon reduction plus clean energy”, embedding green concepts throughout the whole lifecycle of data center planning, construction and operation. Indirect evaporative cooling and natural cold source technologies are deployed on a large scale in cooling systems, enabling projects to rely mainly on natural cold sources all year round with zero water consumption for units. Modular UPS and optimized power distribution architecture are adopted in power supply and distribution links to reduce line transmission losses. Meanwhile, AI energy efficiency optimization systems and digital twin management platforms are introduced to dynamically adjust and optimize energy consumption. Through technological iteration and refined operation, ZDATA continuously taps carbon reduction potential to support higher-density computing output with lower energy consumption.

Going forward, ZDATA will remain committed to its long-term low-carbon development goals. On one hand, it will further develop long-term mechanisms such as multi-year green power cooperation and source-grid-load-storage coordination to steadily increase green power consumption volume and its share in power consumption structure. On the other hand, ZDATA will continuously upgrade energy efficiency optimization technologies and intelligent operation systems, and extend mature green practices to the upstream and downstream industrial chains to drive coordinated carbon reduction across the supply chain. With solid on-site implementation, ZDATA addresses the industry’s low-carbon challenges and makes green a distinctive feature of the high-quality computing power infrastructure.
